Announcing a New Collaboration with Oppenheimer & Co.

Announcing a New Collaboration with Oppenheimer & Co.

Just a reminder that this week’s newsletter will include a mix of ‘Best of’ and BIG announcements. We’re going to be dark next week before returning with original content on Tuesday September 5.

When JWS returns, we will have a new partnership in place. I’m excited to announce a collaboration with Oppenheimer & Co.’s Jed Kelly.

Together we are organizing an exclusive, invite-only event in New York City on September 21. The audience is going to be a mix of institutional investors and a proverbial who’s who of sports and media decision makers.

Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and PFL founder and chairman Donn Davis are confirmed to participate in closed-circuit, off-record, fireside chats. The evolving local media rights landscape, direct-to-consumer streaming, the rumored Bellator acquisition and PFL’s unconventional distributional model (at least for a fight sports promotion) are among the topics on the agenda.

Another big name speaker will be announced in the coming days.

The event is, in part, meant to be a thank you to those who have helped me along the way. Formal invites should be going out later today.

Select partnership opportunities may be available. Please reach out if your brand aligns with the most influential people in sports, media, and finance.

It should be noted that the inaugural ‘Fall Sports & Media Huddle’ is only the beginning. There are plans to host additional events over the next 12 months. More to come on that front.

See you tomorrow with another announcement.
